Facebook might have been the latest addition to the ever growing list of Firmware tweaks that the so-called, much rumoured 3.10 will bring an hour ago, but now it’s all about Polish language support. Yep, apparently Sony Poland have confirmed to at least one Polish website that as of next week they’ll be able to have the XMB in their native language, and Polish language support was mentioned to us off the record a couple of months back so we’re going with this being in 3.10.
Sure, we’ve been alternating between stories on Call of Duty’s online mode falling to bits and all kinds of stuff rumoured for firmware updates for the last few weeks, but hopefully this is the last one for a while. At least, that is, until Sony decide to confirm the damned thing one way or another, which, given the recent Facebook leak, won’t be all that far into the future. So, to recap: Facebook, red gamercards, a new photo browser, no cross game chat, Polish language support and a partridge in a pear tree.
Can’t wait.

Yerrrr, this is all great, and thanks once again TSA for bringing this to as at such speeds and with such excitement! ;) But I’m feeling a bit cheated again. First of all, I’m not slagging off SCEE because well….Facebook! But analog stick controlled movie playback, now orange gamercard things etc etc, makes me wonder that’s all.

It looked like you could change the colour of your gamercard (not just red). There was a whole grid of colours to choose from. Perhaps it will change the colour of those grey bars as well to your selected colour. Some improvement at least.

im not to fussed about the friends boxes, but an option to group them would be helpful. it would be nice to have a group for FIFA, a group for COD, a group for TSA etc

Orrrrr.. as difficult as I can imagine it will be for you, dont click on it when you hover over it?
Theres an idea. Unless your one of those types who doesnt want their XMB ‘ruined’ by a new icon :|

Damn them! First they add iPlayer and now Facebook. If only they would stop adding popular free tools enjoyed by millions of their users.

I agree. It really makes my blood boil when a money making company throws free stuff at me.

it would be nice to hide some of the features they add. for people who dont use facebook/twitter and the rest of them, like myself, its just more clutter on the XMB. It would be nice to just have a tick-box list of features that you would like to show/not show, like a mini CMS for the XMB.

I love firmware updates, not sure why, just like new stuff I guess (even if it is breaking something).
Does this make me strange?
