4gamer.net is reporting that PS3 owners have yet another MMORPG to look forward to next year, as Koei is planning to get ‘Nobunaga’s Ambition Online’ out in Japan next year. In a recent press conference focused on a PS2 and Windows release of Shinsei no Sho, the developers touched upon ‘Nobunaga’s Ambition Online’ stating that development has started, with a release planned for 2010. Koei has worked on previous PS3 MMORPG Uncharted Waters, and there’s also a PS3 version of Dynasty Warriors Online in the pipeline.

  3. and no doubt like those other ps3 mmos we’ll never see them outside japan.
i’ve been waiting for a decent console mmo for years, how is it sony with soe in their portfolia hasn’t got one single ps3 mmo out yet after three years?
that ncsoft deal fell through as well apparently, or at least ncsoft didn’t actually produce anything.
i wanted to try the everquest adventures mmo for the ps2, but they shut down the eu servers, it’s still running in the states.

    • hmmmmm, a bet ur right!

  4. Why does it say “worked on” in the past tense with regards to Unchartered Waters? Is this out in Japan already? I’ve never even heard of it.

    • Ok, had a search for Uncharted Waters and blimey it’s a long running series. The PS3 version of Unchartered Waters Online seems to have been released in Japan in April 2009. Apparenty it allows for play again PC users too. The original Online came out in 2004 on the PC in Japan.

  5. I truly love RPG games. I think I played and completed about every Final Fantasy game there is. I really cant wait for Final Fantasy XIII and any other rpgs are welcome! Never heard of Nobunaga’s Ambition Online though.

  6. YEAH MORE MMORPGS.

  7. If only some of these MMO’s would actually launch.I remember seeing a trailer for a pirate mmorpg that KOEI were making about a year ago but have heard nothing since. It looked really good. That might of been uncharted waters.
