According to the latest Famitsu magazine, Solid Snake’s latest outing (although not chronologically, of course) is out on March 18th, 2010, along with about three hundred other AAA games. Of course, this is for the Japanese market, but we’re hoping that we’ll be able to get our hands on The Snake pretty much around about the same time over here in Europe.
Of more interest to our readers, perhaps, is that Heavy Rain has been locked down for February 8th, 2010 in the land of the rising sun. Given that we’re assuming there’s going to be a Western release of the game before it lands in Japan, and previous versions have already gone out to the press, we’re banking on a January release for the ambitious story-focused title.
Finally, the evergreen Japanese magazine rated Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 10/9/10/10 (39/40). I’m smart enough not to throw around any reasons as to why I think this might be, of course, but last time I checked first person shooters weren’t all that popular over there.

Really looking forward to Heavy Rain, Modnation Racers and FFXIII, but as a student I may only be able to pick up, and that will be FFXIII. I’ll definitely rent Heavy Rain, but I’d rather own Modnation Racers, so I may have to wait a while for that one.

glad that heavy rain is coming out sooner than i thought. as i usually wait till the games are cheaper then it wont be too long till i can play it! woop!
any info on when dc universe online will be released?

Why tons of great games being all released in the same month? They must realise that that may force people to chose between games, and shops will probably push more game than the other.

I suppose releasing after the holiday season isn’t so bad. With all of the money received, be it a gift or from a return of a crappy gift, people (more likely kids, I’m not sure how many adults get money for christmas) will have pockets full to go out and buy some new games.

This November to next March is record-breaking! MW2, AC2, Army of 2, MAG, BF:BC2, FFXIII, and now Heavy Rain! I just lost $420!
