If you have a PSP and would like some Tactial Espionage Action to play on the go then you’ll want to make a note of May 28th in your diaries. Konami have officially announced that you’ll be able to get your hands on Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker on that date. Almost two months later, but that’s not such a big wait. Remember waiting almost 6 months when the original Metal Gear Solid came out? Right, so stop your moaning.

The game, set in 1974, continues the story of Snake (the original one that became Big Boss, not the other one) from Portable Ops and Snake Eater. But you already knew that didn’t you?

Yeah… there’s not a lot else to say about it… here have some screenshots.

  1. Awesome, something not releasing in March!

    Can’t wait for this though!

  2. My birthday is May 26th.

    • Wonder what you’ll be getting then :P

      • Proberly not what he wants.

  3. For a PSP Game, this looks stunning.

  4. This does look good for a PSP game, love MGS but I don’t love it enough to buy my 3rd PSP only to sell it for the 3rd time after I have got bored of it again, i am more interested in Metal Gear Rising, it has been rather quiet for a while on that front though, Wonder how its coming along.

  5. I tried that Japanese demo that was released a few months back, and just couldn’t get used to the controls at all. Just completely clunky and impossible to do anything with.
It’d be much much better if it was fixed camera like MGS1 and 2. There’s just some things that the PSP can’t handle, and this is one of them.

  6. Damn I am so excited for this.
