In the replies of the recent Firmware 3.15 Blog post, PlayStation Network Product Manager James Thorpe said “afraid they don’t at the minute” in reply to a question about PSP Minis having Trophies. At the minute – does that mean they might have them in the future now that they’re playable on PS3 too?
We’ve already talked about how some Minis have their own trophy system – but ‘proper’ Trophies could be a really nice step forward for the platform and would surely help push some more sales.

That’d be good. But although there only about 10 in PSN games, so would this mean <5 in Minis?

But since minis are bit sized games even more so than some PSN games, that’s not so bad.
I mean, just having 5 trophies could still let them give you two nominal “you started a game!” style trophies, two tricky “get a 10x bonus” style trophies and either a “complete the game” or something middling to round out the 5.

Yeah, trophies were the best thing that happened to PS3 for me.
Would love the PSP to get trophies, however I am not too sure it will happen as you can not show them off the same due to the lack of a proper PSP community.

Could push sales and would in turn be a nice steady income for them, that could be just a figure of speech though, like saying sorry theres no PS2 games coming at the minute, but doesnt say there ever will be either.

Don’t you log into the same account when you are on PSP as you do on PS3? That way they would just need a sync feature to update the server with the new trophies

I doubt they would get trophies unless the PSP got trophies (which is unlikely). To be honest for the price of them you’re asking a bit much for trophies as well, the idea is that these are cheap easy to pick up and play indie games isn’t it?
In the foodchain of PS3 games it makes sense – full retail games get lot’s of trophies and a platinum, £5-8 PSN games get less trophies and no platinum, £2-4 Mini’s get no trophies. Seems fair to me, it’s a bit like how PSOne Classics don’t have trophies either but can be played on PSP instead…
