Rumour: Final Fantasy XIII Scores 39/40

I don’t know if anyone still holds Famitsu reviews in any particular regard, but for what it’s worth it’s emerging tonight that this week’s issue has leaked early (in Hong Kong) and the word on the street is that Final Fantasy XIII has scored 39/40.  Thankfully, someone picked up the story and although we don’t know if it’s for real or not yet, here’s the general gist of the thing, after feeding through every translation tool we could find:

• 10/10 – Beautiful graphics and excellent story.
• 9/10 – Combat damage visuals meant this reviewer had trouble seeing the display.
• 10/10 – Many cinematic moments.
• 10/10 – Beautiful visuals.

So that’s rather good, then?  Well, you’ll forgive me for not jumping up and down on the spot just yet because a) this could be fake and b) it’s bloody Famitsu.
