Mass Effect 2 will allow players to interject other characters’ actions during the game’s cinematic cut-scenes using a unique new interrupt system. Announced today by producer Adrian Cho on Gamespot’s On The Spot show, the new feature will compliment the game’s traditional dialogue wheel mechanism allowing players to insert snappy quips into conversations or trigger cool interactions.
It’s an interesting device which allows for more dynamic and organic gameplay as it involves players in what traditionally has been seen as a somewhat passive element of the game. Of course, you’ll have to stay vigilant and be quick enough with your trigger pulls during the cinematic sequences in order to pull off these new interrupt snippets.

i saw a video where you’re in the middle of a conversation and one of these interrupt things was triggered and shephard pushed a guy out a window.
and this was supposed to have been a feature in the first game but it never made it.

I think there needs to be a ‘PS3 rumoured’ tag on the front page, next to the 360 one
