The Xbox 360 exclusive, Crackdown 2, has yet to receive an official release date with Microsoft remaining rather quiet on the subject. But it would appear that the sequel to one of Xbox’s best exclusives will be out in the “first half” of 2010 according to Microsoft product mangement director, Aaron Greenberg.

Talking on the Major Nelson show, Greenberg said:

Starting in January, we have a triple-A exclusive title pretty much every month for the first half of the year…You got Mass Effect 2, you got Splinter Cell, you got Alan Wake, you got Crackdown 2.

Another cracking (no pun intended) line up of games. 2010 is really shaping up to be the best year for gamers across the board.

  1. :O Sweet, i will have to tell my mate with the X-Box for this one :( Stupid 360 exclusives

    • I bet Xbox owners (without a PS3 as well) are saying “stupid exclusives” far more than you are at the moment. ;)

      • Nah, not much I want on PS3. GT5 doesn’t interest me really, God of War III didn’t impress me, Heavy Rain looks interesting but I only want to play it to see how it plays not to actually enjoy it so I could easily leave that. ModNationRacers does, however, look quite brilliant from the beta. The Last Guardian could be interesting, but in general I avoid games where I’ve seen no, or very little, gameplay. What else is coming for PS3 exclusive? Can’t remember right now.

On the other hand I want Alan Wake, Splinter Cell and Crackdown 2 badly (kinda meh on Mass Effect 2).

Just my thoughts as a 360 owner.

      • I think both consoles are equally good in terms of games. The years of 2007,2009, 2011 (hopefully) ans 2013 are PS3 years, the others are X360 years.

      • 2010 Is going to be awesome. God of War 3 is obviously my number 1 but Alan Wake and Crackdown 2 are very tempting. The list of multi-plats though is even better so all-in-all…gamers rejoice!

  2. I think Major Nelson missed the word “Timed” out of his post.
