34From the 4th of January the MAG beta, which has previously been invite only and a little bit ‘underground’ will, like the Wombles, be wombling free. From 8am GMT on the 4th the beta will be global and open to all to give the game its final stress-test before the network code is signed off by a tall man with a cheap suit and a clipboard. Tick!
The beta, which will end on January 10th (at 8am GMT again) consists of a 300MB install, a 40MB patch and a 2GB data download. If you’ve still got any bandwidth left after all that you’ll be in the game and shooting lots of people you don’t really know for a good few days. Existing beta trialists can download the latest patch (taking the beta to version 5) from 1pm GMT today.
