Take this one with a teeny-weeny pinch of salt as it’s not often we get demo date confirmations from retail stores. According to GAME.co.uk – via NextGamer.nl (stay with us, we’re getting there) – a demo for Battlefield: Bad Company 2 will land on both the PS3 and 360 this February 4th.
It is a Thursday so at least they got that right, but we’re not entirely sure this is kosher. We’ll look into it though, and hey – it’s not like this is the first time we’ve heard of a demo for the title.
Full text about the sample of EA DICE’s stellar action title follows:
“However, do not worry as you will still get a full 3 week access to the Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Demo on Xbox Live or The Playstation ® Network from the 4th February 2010.
To access the demo from the 4th February please login to you Xbox Live or PSN account, search for Battlefield Bad Company 2 and follow the download instructions. No code is needed as it is now a public demo. “

Anyone with a GAME pre-order of BFBC2 got an email about a week ago detailing what they called an ‘open demo’ which requires no download code would be available on the 4th feb, seems pretty good info to me.

yep I posted on PS3 forums. Can’t wait for this. Been slowly put off by MW2 and went back to BFBC in the last week, I can’t say how much better it is, because it’s off the scale how much better.

ohh i hope not (i played that map on the closed beta to death) so fingers/appendages crossed its summat new!! although to be honest even if it isnt,i’ll still play it till the game is released..its my number one on mr see’s shit list at the moment

Agreed. I wonder how this might affect sales for MAG which is due out the week before? Have been tempted to get MAG, even though I wasnt overly impressed by the BETA. This might put me off…

I’m hoping that this is a) more enjoyable than MW2 and b) the supposed voice chat problems that plagued BFBC and B1943 are sorted for the PS3 version. Oh, and that this game will not have new glitches/ hacks popping up every week like one of the biggest games of last year (no names)

The chat problems is the main reason the beta was on the PS3, so they better have been sorted.

well i can tell you the squad making/chat system worked perfectly in the beta. i too found that frustrating in the first one. and the awful lag of the first one seemed all but gone.

May trade MW2 in for BBC2 or MAG, my brother has turned against CoD recently after a bout on Killzone 2, it made MW2 look like my first shooter!
