There’s no source quoted for the dates but Siliconera are talking about some upcoming DLC for Drake’s latest adventure. According to the site with the gaming dinoaurs the content will kick off with a free pack launching at the same time as the demo (January 28th). This first pack will contain multiplayer skins of characters from other famous PlayStation brands, Resistance 2, inFamous and Killzone 2.
There will be a further two packs on February 25th and April 15th which will introduce new maps and skins, including some content from the original Uncharted.

Agreed. I’m still playing the Drake 2 multiplayer on and off, but will welcome the chance to run around as Sev or Cole butting some heads!
The demo’s kind of missed the boat though, non?!

Those screeenshots just look all wrong. Far too lush and colourful for a Resistance or Killzone game! Lol
On a serious note, its annoying that linear games like this don’t ever seem to get single player DLC. I can take or leave skins and maps for online play but I’d give my right bollock (its my least favourite) for some more single player content, even if it was within the same story.
Imagine a kind of ‘what happened after Uncharted 1″ when perhaps the boat they drove away on gets attacked and they end up on a desert island fighting off natives or pirates for a bit.

It’s a cost thing. If they’re going to bring out new SP DLC (or even the objectives Co-Op DLC) they’d want to do it properly. Bring back the cast (and a new villain or two), do new cutscenes, record new dialogue etc. etc.
Basically go back into full production for a short amount of time to create an hour or two’s worth of SP. how would that weigh up against the number of sales they get? and what would the community reaction be?
Given the amount of work it would require, would it not be better to roll it into the next game?
Anyway, it’s not yet out of the question, but doing competitive MP maps and skins is a much quicker and cheaper process, so that’s what we’re seeing first.
I wonder if the other maps and skins in Feb and April will be free too? fingers crossed…

yah, sorry to disappoint teflon, but the DLC isn’t free,
on the playstation EU blog it says: “the demo is, of course, free and the PlayStation Heroes pack will be €4.99.”
So maybe £3?

It’s a shame I can’t play as Drake in Resistance 2. I’d actually be quite happy to pay for that skin.
It might even encourage me to finally get round to getting the Killing Machine trophy for my plat.

Difficult idea to pull off well, it can look and play ver gimmicky when entertainment characters cross their boundaries of their respected worlds. It looks really good, and I reckon Naughty Dog have the ability to pull it off

Love Uncharted2, and the multiplayer… the game just gets better and better
Probably won’t use the skins though, as the glowing body parts can give your position away when you’re peeking over a wall or whatever.

On topic though, the new costumes all look awesome. And the very attractive price of free makes them even better. Any DLC for Uncharted 2 is good DLC in my eyes though. Can’t wait for all of this, bring it on!
