Stereophonics in Home

21European Product Manager of SCEE, Rob Rutter, announced yesterday among other things that Stereophonics will be coming to PlayStation Home for an exclusive event in March. Live footage from a backstage interview and performances in the VIP SingStar Room will be streamed into the SingStar space. The band members will be kitting out in some funky Home avatars and standing about on the “first night”, ready to be hoarded by virtual fans.
Expect a number of Homies throwing out all the dance emoticons and suggesting that they have no keyboard. This is a similar idea as streaming E3 2009 into Home. However, with the technology of live streaming into the virtual spaces now becoming a reality, it’s likely that we’ll see more PlayStation events in 2010 streamed live onto your console.
