Charts: Week Ending 27th Feb

The past few weeks have seen a regular change at the top of the charts with Mass Effect 2 and MAG giving way to Bioshock 2, which then gave way to Aliens vs Predator and this week sees another new chart leader for the PS3.

UK PS3 Chart: Week ending 27th February:

Heavy Rain enters the chart with an expected steal of the number 1 spot. There are two other new entries this week in the form of White Knight Chronicles and Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing, which take 7th and 8th respectively. We’ve been keeping a close eye on Drake’s performance ever since Uncharted 2 was released back in October ’09 and this week sees his return to the top 5. It’s also worth noting that whilst it never made it back into the top 10, Batman: arkham Asylum has leapt up the charts to number 11. Maybe the recent award wins have pushed the Dark Knight back into favour.

UK 360 Chart: Week ending 27th February:

Due to a lack of rain, Aliens vs Predator keeps the crown for another week. Forza Motorsport 3′s performance is still extremely impressive and this week it returns to position number 2.  S&S All-Stars Racing enters at number 5 and the latest edition to the Lips series enters at number 10.

A week or so ago we noted that EA had four titles in each chart so it’s only right to acknowledge Sony’s four exclusives and Microsoft’s two. SEGA are also seeing success with 3 chart places on both formats.

When looking at the All Formats chart, Heavy Rain claims Sony’s first number 1 of this year; more shockingly Sony’s first number 1 since Killzone 2.
