Final Fantasy XIV PS3 Beta For EU, Too

We reported earlier today that US purchasers of Final Fantasy XIII would have the ability to enter into a draw to gain access to the Final Fantasy XIV PS3 beta. Now the EU blog have followed suit, confirming that the opportunity will not be localised to just our American friends.

The possibility of access is in conjunction with a SQUARE ENIX MEMBERS card. Sign up, and you’ll also be gifted with a special in-game item for the upcoming Final Fantasy XIV MMO.

SCEE’s Jem Alexander states:

In case you don’t recall, at E3 last year we announced that the PS3 will be the only console you’ll be able to play FINAL FANTASY XIV — the series’ next MMO title — on when it launches this year.

Deciphering the statement a little you will notice a couple of things, namely that Final Fantasy XIV is the only “console” you’ll be playing “when it launches” this year. We already know a PC version is confirmed, but this does lend more credence to the recent rumblings that a 360 version is very much on the way.
