Peace Walker Team Working On Rising

Despite numerous proclamations that Kojima Production’s Metal Gear Solid: Rising would be created by a younger, hipper crowd, it looks like it’s business as usual over at the Metal Gear madhouse as staff move off one project and on to the next. In this case, the new assignment getting increased attention is the multiplatform Raiden-staring Rising project. Revealing the reshuffling of resources at the start of the always informative Kojima Productions’ podcast, it should be noted that such staff migrations only concern the creative geniuses who physically craft the game.

“Every once in a while we do this. As one project finishes, then the next project starts up, so the key people have to relocate. Peace Walker’s winding down so Rising is winding up, so people have got to move around …”

Kenichiro Imaizumi, one of Kojima-san’s protégés at the studio, is still producing (along with Kojima-san himself in what we believe to be a more avuncular capacity). So, it’s still hip. It’s still fresh. Raiden is still cool. Right?
