As expected, Sony has confirmed the release date for the much anticipated Gran Turismo 5. After showing off an incredible movie, Tretton announced that the genre leading title would release on November 2nd, this year.
The video also finally confirmed the BBC Top Gear test track is in there, a nice touch, and Tretton also said that the game would run in 3D, with both versions on the same Blu-ray disk.
We, literally, cannot wait.

It has Ferrari F1 cars, saw a short 3D trailer a couple of days ago.

Likely the old models then? Prologue had the Ferrari F1 2007

I don’t think so, surely it’s down to Ferrari if their cars are shown in different games, I’ll check the trailer again tomorrow.

Yey! A few points to note.
1) I noticed how they avoided showing the damage model. I’m a little concerned there. A car half flipped though. Very teasing.
2) Did they hint at a day/night cycle? Thought I may have seen a day to night transition.
3) The top gear test track was instantly recognisable it was that good! and the STIG!!!
4) November seems so far away and why no confirmed date outside america?
Would like to have seen some actual gameplay on stage though.
Twisted metal…..meh.

You weren’t expecting us europeans to get a release date at the same time, they always forget us.

Isn’t Move out earlier in EU?

Yep, no mention of Europe. I tweeted @PlayStationEU, and they said that it’s only confirmed for NA only. Wouldn’t surprise me if they released global to make up for the Johnny-Come-Lately attitude they’ve had this last year or 2.

I hope you’re right with regards to a global release date. It wouldn’t surprise me if Europe doesn’t get it until 2011. :(

I suspect it’s either a worldwide release, or europe will get it within the week, hopefully!
