Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Predator For PSP

Quite some time ago a new Ghost Recon game with the subtitle ‘Predator’ was spotted on the Australian ratings board.  At the time it was assumed this game would be the new console title, however that was announced separately as ‘Future Soldier’ and Predator went quiet.

Well it’s back!  Spotted by some eagle eyes on the ESRB website, the game is set for a PSP only release.  Rated as ‘Teen’, the ESRB description reads as follows;

“This is an action game/third-person shooter in which players engage in combat missions as part of an elite military unit.

Players use a variety of machine guns, sniper rifles, grenades, and explosives to infiltrate hostile compounds and kill enemies.

Gun fights are depicted realistically, with loud gun sound effects, large explosions, and characters that yell in pain when hit.

Gunshots result in splashes or small clouds of red blood that disappear quickly. Characters use the words “sh*t,” “b*tch,” and “a*s” in the dialogue.”

It’s good to see continued support for the PSP – and we hope that Ubisoft can shoehorn in a comfortable control system, which is often the Achilles heel of a PSP game.

On a side note, ESRB rating descriptions always make me smile.  S**t, b**tch, a**!

  1. Oh cmon, b*tch, sh*t and a*s could mean… Batch, shut and ads. Or butch, shot and abs. Nevermind.

    • Trying to imagine the scenario where ‘butch, shot, abs’ might be used :op

      • Or the context in which they’d be censored…

  2. I find it hard to take a group seriously when they routinely censor profanity in a professional report assessing that kind of content. It’s so pointlessly puritanical.

    • A little like an anatomy textbook censoring all of the “private parts”.

  3. Think ill buy it…fave Ghost Recons were the first 2 on ps2

  4. It will deliver disappointment

  5. I don’t think ive played a single FPS on the PSP that was worked brilliantly. The lack of the 2nd analogue stick really holds it back as a console for FPS’s. Pursuit Force was quite good, but thats all I remember.
