Today seems to have a distinctly comic-book feel to it. What with news about a tabloid and then news about a more intelligent type of comic coming before this little titbit about an imaginary game-based-comic-based-movie-based-videogame. Scott Pilgrim may not be the easiest concept to explain but it is an underground (is it still underground?) comic-book smash-hit. Ubisoft are making a game to accompany the forthcoming movie: Scott Pilgrim Vs The World.
Everything we’ve seen so far of the comic books (I’m a fan), movie (looks hilarious) and game (seems perfectly in-tone) has been one step beyond awesome. So we’re cheered by the news that this download-only title is getting a pre-order bonus in the US, even if it is only a virtual tee for your pretend person in PlayStation Home.
Even better is the news via Joystiq that the US Ubistore is listing Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World: The Game for just $9.99. That is certainly a welcome price considering many recent games’ launch prices around the $15 mark. Now, can we have some news on European bonuses and pricing please Ubisoft?
Right, that’s your morning news blast. Can I have some coffee now?

Virtual tee for my avatar in home? To put behind my ear? Good god. I still think games need to integrate better with home, you should unlock certain items of clothing for getting trophies, or a new apartment for platinums etc.

IT ISN’T A GAME BASED COMIC. IT’S JUST A BLOODY COMIC.
Annoyed.

Shouldn’t annoyed have been in capitals, while the rest is in lower case?

Fair point, it’s not based on a game specifically, it’s based around the concepts and mechanics of video games. So game-culture-based comic then.
Relax, it’s all going to be okay ;)

never seen a pre order for a PSN title before, and although I don’t really see the need to pre order anything that’s downloadable, (it’s not like they’re going to run out), it’s still cool of ubi and sony to do this. But I have to admit it’s the price instead of the free shirt that going to make me buy this, as I was expecting I’d have to pay twice this price.
