Kazunori Yamauchi has been speaking to Car Magazine regarding the specially designed 249mph racer – the Red Bull X1 prototype, which features in GT5. In the background to one of the shots we spy the Monaco street circuit, which we’re pretty sure hasn’t been confirmed yet.

The X1 racer is looking pretty awesome too.

  1. I’m a bit sceptical if that is Monaco, but would make sense to show off the ultimate no rules F1 car-ish on that top track.

    • I don’t know if you were looking at the right picture, because only the last picture shows the Monaco track.

      • Yeah looking at the last one, I just can’t see it as monaco, maybe just me. I see the palm trees and the fancy block of flats but I just can’t visualize what corner that may be.

      • Is it really Monaco? I don’t think it is. I don’t remember any palm trees about the place at Monaco…

The 4th pic is of the Rome circuit, the first is of Spa {??} or Le Mans {??} I think…

      • @ Teflon I think the first pic is the nurburgring circuit. You know, the one that’s 10-12 miles long.

      • It is Monaco. This should rest any doubts: http://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=95004&page=1925#post4067949

  2. And here’s me thinking the Monaco circuit might have been appearing on the PSN store for a small fee sometime shortly after the eventual release. Perhaps.

  7. Monaco was in previous GT’s so no real surprise. However, if that is the hairpin at Moncao very eagle-eyed! Also, pleased to see a fellow Car Mag reader! They have a full interview with Kaz in the mag this month
