Killzone 3 Beta Codes ‘This Afternoon’

Those of you sat in front of your monitors repeatedly hitting ‘refresh’ on your email, desperately scanning your inbox for those magic words “Welcome to the Killzone 3 Beta” are going to have wait a couple more hours. Sony have tweeted the following:

“For those asking about the #killzone3 beta emails, I’ve been told that voucher codes will be sent out early this afternoon.”

We will have a full hands-on preview of what you can expect just as soon as we can call off the SCEE snipers. I currently have a red laser sight dot on my forehead and until it vanishes I can’t tell you anything else.

Update: I’ve just read on the closed Beta forums that a patch has been released and has literally just gone live, I expect this is why you have yet to recieve a code, they were waiting for the patch to be uploaded.

  5. How long does the beta last? I got in there at 8pm for my Killzone 3 Theme so I’m fairly confident I would recieve an email if what they said about 10000 going in about 30 mins is correct.

    • this is a different beta invite samiro05.
      the one you’re talking about is for Plus members; this one was for any PS3 owner who followed killzone 3 on twitter i think.

      • Well thanks for that cus I have no code yet and I’m hoping this is the reason. Was lookin’ forward to coming home to play it but no luck :(

    • The beta will run for a couple of weeks.

    • I got the code between 8 and 9, possibly exactly half way. Either way, I have the beta and it works brillantly :)

      I wish you could level up your online character offline on some of these games, if only a very small amount in comparison. Actually come to think of it then I’d never play online and it’d ruin the whole multiplayer experience a tad bit with erm.. no multiple players.

      • That would actually make sense for killzone: since it tries to put you in games with people the same level as you, if the players already there kept their level it would mean all us new noobs would only be playing each other and not them, therefor having a much better learning curve.
