There’s a certain air of poignancy here at TSA Towers: this was meant to be Gran Turismo Week (and if you’re in the States, the game was originally locked for tomorrow) so whilst we’re still left waiting for that new promised release date, here’s what the latest build looks like (grabbed from last week’s Paris Game Show) which features the hallowed Top Gear Test Track.

I have pre-ordered this game for my Grandson.
On a more serious note – TSA Top Gear Test Track Compo – yes please!

Yeah that will be fun. A TSA reasonably priced car is needed though…i think a Zonda.lol

Don’t worry, that’s pretty much a given, provided that the car is included. If it isn’t, I’m sure we will just chose another car!

I am really hoping they include the Liana, the Lacetti, or the cee’d. Ideally all three!

Hmm, not sure if this is just the video quality, but some of the background looks a little cartoony…

the fastest lap time without a driving line will be atleast 5 minutes longer than with a driving line……well until someone plays it 100,000 times and get it right.

Looking good as ever to me.
It’s not the fact the game has been delayed that annoys me, it’s just that we still dont have a confirmed release date.

Agreed. Facts are:
It slipped from 5th November
They said it will be before Christmas
Game releases are usually Fridays in the UK
There are only 6 Fridays between now and Christmas (if you include Christmas eve).
Surely they must know which one it’s gonna be? The fact there has been no announcement makes me strongly believe it’s gonna slip past Christmas and they are scared to say so.

You might find this interesting, if you’ve not already seen it.

Spot on 3shirts but I would ignore Friday as this one is big enough for a worldwide simultaneous release a-la CoD and Halo

I would say world wide, but i have a feeling the UK will get it in the new year… all seems to odd not to give a release date by now if we were getting it in a week or two

maybe their waiting until the disks are on their way to stores, encase yamauchi decided the grass was 1 pixel too long and wanted to change it, he couldnt.

I think, by now, the rest of the dev team have him bound and gagged in a basement telling his family he will be released when he signs a contract not to change anything else.

That looks terrible! It may well be the camera but it looked liked they hadn’t finished modelling the course. I appreciate it’s a barren course at the best of times but it’s fascinating to see that as you take away the glitz and character of other courses you’re left with some very unreal looking objects. The grass looks awful. Utterly awful. Kaz seems to have no idea how to make objects look suitably grimy. :-(

Probably, almost certainly, but that doesn’t explain why it looks like I drew the buildings.

I think any issues with the graphics on this video are due to the severe artifacting and poor encoding rather than GT5 itself.

Is this PS2 or Wii, or just a pre-alpha mock-up?
The colours look like Mario Kart on acid, and the building look like I drew them, I can’t believe they’d actually look that bad so I presume the guy just had a crap TV,

Wonder if leaderboards will include (w) or (vw) for laps done in the rain. Heres hoping for pre xmas release.

You’d like to think so. The recent vids showing off the rain were tremendous so I’d like to think the “rain” component is something that can be applied to every track and it’s just a matter of selecting such a thing (if you’re doing a one off race and have the ability to select “rain”).

Where’s the release date. Were we not promised a date before end of October?
