Siliconera have unearthed a listing on the website of the Australian games ratings board, the OFLC, for an as-yet-unannounced game called “Sackboy’s Prehistoric Moves“.
But what exactly is it? The rating doesn’t give us a whole lot to go on, only that the title has been approved for a general audience (basically the equivalent to a “U” or “3+” here), that it is being developed by Supermassive Games and Media Molecule, and published by Sony. The classification was approved earlier today.
So, grab your speculation hats, people! My guess would be that SPM is some kind of spin-off from LittleBigPlanet, played with the PlayStation Move, contains dinosaurs, and is to be released on the PSN. The Move hint not only comes from the name, but also that Supermassive Games have recently released casual title Start the Party and downloadable puzzler Tumble as launch titles for Sony’s new motion controller.
So, what do you think?

Sounded like a DLC for LBP2 to me. This is interesting:

That’s on the disk though at launch, and wouldn’t require a separate rating.

“With the main game there will be an extra game – possibly on another disc, maybe on the same disk – that will contain 10-ish levels that demonstrate how Move could work with LittleBigPlanet 2,”

In my opinion it’s probably just that!
Supermassive are just a stone’s throw from the Mm office and have been said to be working on the bonus Move levels that will ship with LittleBigPlanet 2. (These guys were the creative talent behind the levels from numerous DLC kits, such as the Pirates of the Caribbean and the Marvel pack)

I’d say you’ve pretty much cracked it there, aha.

I reckon a brand new Move title, not DLC, for kids (me).

If it’s just DLC it’ll be manipulating switches and objects but a full spin-off game could be any genre, dancing, sports, maybe a collection of different move games with a sackboy/LBP spin.

Seems a little strange that they’re listing it as a DVD, rather than a Blu Ray.

If this turns out to be a fun spinoff I might have to buy a set of Move controllers for my girlfriend…

I just hope they’re sackdinos.
