New Dragon Age II Character Revealed

BioWare has released some information and screens on a new character for Dragon Age II named ‘Aveline Vallen’:

“Aveline Vallen is a soldier, a master of sword and shield, and a tireless guardian… to a point. The daughter of an exiled chevalier, Aveline is not the knight her father wished her to be. Although fully trained in chivalrous combat, she was raised in the shadow of a lost life and will not lose another for the sake of honor. Protecting her adopted home of Kirkwall becomes a chosen duty, not a privileged calling. The people she stands for will not be wasted on lost causes or protecting the foolish from themselves. Pride can be bandaged like any other wound—when threats are dead and everyone is safely home.”

She also enjoys moonlight walks on the beach, guys who can make her laugh, and beating people to death with her shield.

  1. I’m guessing she is a companion then? Wasn’t sure if they had confirmed that companions were in the game again.

    On a side note, can’t wait for this. Need to find time to play origins in between GT5 time.

  3. What do people think about the first game? I read an article in PSM3 on DA2 and it looked cool. I’m thinking about picking up the first on PC, should I get it on the PS3 instead?

    • depends what you like, if your going to get DA2, get it on PS3 then your save file carries over!

    • I’d recommend PS3 if your PC isn’t particularly high spec. It’s not that it’s got high requirements or anything but I find it runs more smoothly on the PS3.

      I loved the first game. As long as you have some interest in Fantasy/Adventure then I’m sure you’ll enjoy it. And it’s quite cheap now so why not eh?

    • i picked up the Ultimate Edition for £25 quid just the other day (cheapest way to get all the DLC) probably the best way to get it :)

    • Thank you for the comments. I’ve decided to wait for now but will probably get this on the PS3 having looked into the game a little more thoroughly.
