GT5 slips down.

Another week, another change at the top as it seems GT5 has relinquished the spot to the all conquering Black Ops.  FIFA sneaks its way past Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood to take number two, whilst Michael Jackson: The Experience practically catches a rocket to jump from thirty two to six.

Need for Speed is still clinging on, with the new Donkey Kong game failing to enter into the top ten.  This is such a shame as the game is amazing.  Kinect Sports is down at number twenty, and there are no Move games at all, which leaves the Wii carrying the motion control torch.

  1. Glad that Brotherhood is still up at 3. Strange that Medal of Honor has jumped up though!

    • Some stores are selling medal of honor for twenty quid so it’s kind of a bargin.

  2. GT5 has probably fallen because people either got it in release week, or are getting it for Christmas, so we’ll probably see it back up then.

    • Plus the other 3 are multi format….

    • At least 50% of people who got GT5 have probably had it on pre-order for a year or two, once that’s out the way there’s no way its going to fight off CoD & FIFA

It’ll have legs though and will be in the top 20 for a few months as people pick it up when they buy a PS3, I’m pretty sure Uncharted2 was in the top10 for the best part of ~6 months so I’d expect this to do at least the same

  3. On PS3 alone GT5 is topping all other sales. Can’t stop the multi-plats though.

    • I guess a fair amount of people bought it as DLC though.

    • To be honest, for something that’s simply DLC on a disc (which most people would likely just buy on PSN or Live), I think cracking the top 15 is pretty good.

      • i thought about buying undead nightmare as i didnt bother with red dead, decided to wait till they bring out the disk with the full game and all the dlc together.

      • If you’ve got the funds go for it. Why miss out on loads of awesome games?

    • I have to admit, as much as I can’t stand the Wii it is getting some impressive looking games I want to check out. Mario Galaxy 2, Goldeneye, Epic Mickey and DKCR instantly spring to mind.

    • just sold my wii. Should have waited until after DK, but if I’m honest I only played it once in the last 12 months, and that was just to see if it still worked before selling.

    • Do it. While I like gaming on my PS3, there are some games you can only find on the Wii. Mario Galaxy 1+2, New SMB Wii, Zelda, Metroid Prime Trilogy and Donkey Kong are some of the best games I played in this generation. I dont like Wii-waggle-party-games, but these mentioned here use the motion-feature very well or just subtle. Especially Metroid. The PS-Move FPS should learn from that. :)

  6. Good to see Blops back up at the top, and glad to see Brotherhood still doing well.

  7. Come on GT5 hang on in there as long as possible!

  8. I’m selling my GT5. Always been a GT fan, bought the game at midnight in the release day… And I’m selling it. GT4 hadn’t oponents, but since then Forza came out and proved to be a worthy competitor. GT5 had to do better, and it didn’t.
