The European PSN Store has gotten a early update today, one that’s gone live before the EU Blog has posted the full update.
To celebrate, we’ll pick out some of the highlights of the goodies, including Alien Breed 2: Assault for £7.19/€8.99 (reviewed here) and Kung-Fu LIVE!, which is going for £10.99/€13.99. We’ll have that one reviewed shortly.
In addition, you can now grab the PS3 title Sackboy’s Prehistoric Moves for just £4.79/€5.99 (free for PlayStation Plus subscribers) and, should you have oodles of cash for an old game, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas 2 for £23.99/€29.99.
There’s also a ‘complete’ version of High Velocity Bowling for a penny under twelve quid, and something called Qlione Evolve for £4.39. We’ll have the full list later today, but let us know what else you find.
Update: Sackboy’s Prehistoric Moves is available next week for non-Plussers, sorry about that.

Yup it’s pretty despicable really and just points to what happens when you’ve a market in which there is no competition. Until such time as there is competition, with 2 or 3 content providers in the Digital market place, those sorts of prices are gonna be commonplace.

I wouldn’t call it a “market” at the moment, if there is anyone buying it then its an “asylum”

Is High Velocity bowling any good with Move? Might be worth it as I’m getting Move for xmas.

It’s okay… doesn’t make too much of a difference as the game already used the motion of the sixaxis to bowl.
It should be better, and at the end of the day is pretty similar to Wii Sports bowling in terms of complexity.

It is a more complex game than wii sports. It’s a complete game in it’s own right as opposed to part of a collection. There is single player campaign, multiplayer on and offline (which is really solid). The Move controller is far more ergonomic to use than the sixaxis (with that you hold your ds3 sideways, which means its clunky and easy to hit buttons by mistake), but essentially they both work very similarly. With this game you have to be more precise than wii with the aim and the spin, however, once you have your technique locked down it can be a bit repetitive.
For £12, the “complete” version includes lots of DLC characters and bowling balls, however these are largely superfluous and don’t add gameplay. I’m not sure how much it is, but the standard version is cheaper and is online with move support and custom soundtracks, plus there is some free DLC on the store.

Oh, also, to add spin, it’s awkward with the ds3, whereas with move you simply flick your wrist

I thought it was way too sensitive. Half the fun with Wii Sports was swinging your arm for all its worth, anymore than a mouse fart of effort in this puts your power indicator in red, I went back to the dual shock but that is a pain for spin if you’ve got small hands or arthritis or both. Unplayable if you’re dead.

How much was it in Sweden? It was 105 NOK in Norway, which I think was okay for this particular title…

What a ridiculous price for Vegas 2! What is the complete version of High Velocity Bowling all about? I’ve got the old one, what has this got to make it twice as expensive?

I agree Vegas 2 is really overpriced since it came out ages ago, and you can get it anyware else for about £5

I’ve bought KFL, Sackboy and Tank Battles unlock, and downloaded SAW 2 and Alien Breed 2 demos. And I bought my first avatar (dead nation leech).

Which tank battles did you get? Are they the same game, I’m confused as to why you can buy both.
