Dead Space developer Visceral has confirmed that if you have a Dead Space save file on your hard drive you will unlock the original Plasma Cutter gun in Dead Space 2. The save file doesn’t have to be complete, although we recommend playing through the original anyway as it’s a fantastic game.
Dead Space 2 is coming this month, and kicks off what is looking to be a stellar year for gamers.

I had a look on amazon, game and shopto none are listing the set that comes with the plasma cutter so it seems not.

I assumed the plasma cutter would exist in Deadspace 2 by default anyway. I guess maybe it’s just a cosmetic change?

Sweet, I love the first game, one of my faves this generation, looking forward to this one a lot. I don’t quite understand though, I’m sure the plasma cutter was in, I mean it was in the demo even. Perhaps it’ll just unlock it early?

Im never going to play the 1st game, and ill never play this game. I like to watch gameplay videos on youtube, but not my cup of tea…….;)
