23A couple of new Dead Space 2 screens have been posted over on GameSpot, and they are looking a little bit gruesome. Due to launch on January 28th in the EU, and the 25th in the US, the game is set to provide an ever so slightly more violent alternative to those who don’t fancy taking on Sackboy (although Sackboy slap fights have been known to spiral out of control).

I played the Wii version of Dead Space Extraction through, it was nice to see things from a different perspective (it touches on the same locations at times, but goes in different directions) but it was let down by some rather cheesy voice acting unfortunately. Still, good stuff when it’s coming for free!

After playing the demo, the leap in quality from the original (which set the bar extremely high) was immediately apparent. Can’t wait for this, Capcom must be kicking themselves for letting Resident Evil slide so far when Dead Space clearly shows the way these type of games should go on next gen hardware. Should be an awesome experience.

The demo really did show off the massive leap in quality, I was always planning to get DS2, but probably not on launch day – until I played the demo… Then went and pre-ordered it =]
Can’t wait for the 28th, will be a pretty scary weekend methinks…

Dead space 1 was a great little gem, loved every bit of it! I’ve pre-orded dead space 2.. so look for me on multi-player when i render your limbs useless muahaha *epic evil laughter*

Yes, were the trains tipping and he’s falling through having to take out necro’s on the way. Fantastic! Except I’m really pants at shooting stuff under pressure :-(
