Wesley Snipes – known to his fans as vampire hunter ‘Blade’, and known to the IRS as ‘That bloke who owes a load of tax money – is creating a new franchise from the confines of his prison cell.
Speaking to IGN, Snipes said he was “was inspired by my desire to bring my ‘Art of War,’ ‘Murder at 1600’ and ‘Passenger 57’ characters into the game world. Julius Styles will offer something for both the mind game strategist and the kick-ass special ops warrior lover.”
The movie for ‘Julius Styles: The International’ will be released in 2013 (assuming Snipes gets out prison by then) but iDevice owners can get their hands on Julius in June, with an XBLA/PSN game to follow.
“I love games that challenge my mind and reflexes,” said Snipes, “Julius Styles pits your street knowledge survival skills with your academic intellect and spiritual intuition.”
WiiWare developers Lapland Studio are on programming duties and will be helped by film companies Red 27 and Elstree Studio Productions.
Kooky actress and star of Dexter, Julia Stiles, has yet to comment on Wesley Snipes stealing her name.
