Microsoft has announced the ‘Gears of War Triple Pack’ which is to be released in the US on February 15 for $29.99. Bargain hunters will find the pack to include Gears of War, Gears of War 2 and the ‘Road To Ruin’ campaign for Gears of War 2.
Continuing Microsoft’s trend for redefining gaming terminology (‘exclusive games’ released on both PC and Xbox 360, for example), the triple pack will contain two actual games, not three. The third element of this ‘Triple Pack’ is an additional campaign (or ‘deleted scene’) for a full game. To make up for the lack of a third proper game you can also download the Gears of War Map Pack 1 or the Hidden Fronts Map Pack from Xbox Live.
Those of you wishing to take a peak at Gears 3 will have to pick up Bulletstorm, the ‘premium’ edition of the game comes with ‘early access’ to the beta.
No release date has been given for a European version of the pack.
UPDATE: This is because there wil be no European version. Boo!

on both accounts TC mentioned (misled into buying an xbox when they already had a pc) and wanting three games…..
It’s also the same how they put 1080p on every 360 game case, when no 360 game is playable at native 1080p, just upscaled.
It seems to work though!

The 1080p listed refers to the televisions which are supported but try telling that to a rabid fanboy who waves the PS3 version at you mocking the 720p listed on the sleeve

Dont have a 360 anymore but I have played a completed a fair few 360 games. Gears 1 is excellent stuff, Gears 2 is just ok, but well worth a play through. One of the best co op games out there tbh….

Thought for a brief moment that this was going to be “Gears Triple anounced for PS3” would have been amusing. Be good if Sony could come up with similar bargain bundles (not with Gears, obviously…)

Not technically Sony but you can get the Sly Trilogy, GoW Collection, PoP Trilogy and soon to be released Splinter Cell Trilogy. I assume that’s what you mean by bargain bundles anyway…

I still got two Gears of War and still play the 2nd online with all the maps DLC. It’s a brilliant action game, love the scenery, characters (Except Baird) and the enemies. Looking forward to Gears of War 3 – should be awesome.
