Internet Jumps On “Sony Surprise” From GTTV

But it's not new...

Overnight a listing for an episode of GameTrailers TV simply called “Sony Surprise” appeared, scheduled for the 15th.  And given how people tend to react to something that looks like it might be console exclusive – well, you can guess the rest.

Is this technically what you call 'trolling?' - if not, GTTV could easily update that schedule to say 'same old Starhawk reveal'. Right?
Sadly, this isn’t a new episode at all, and there’s certainly no “surprise” – unless, of course, you haven’t heard of Starhawk before.  Because that’s what this “Sony Surprise” episode is, a repeat of an earlier show where the channel previewed (along with everyone else) Sony’s follow-up to Warhawk.

However, this hasn’t stopped ‘the internet’ going absolutely mad for the rumour, and whilst show presenter Geoff Keighley has also confirmed our suspicions this morning it’s probably still worth re-iterating in case you’re coming into this blind:

There is no ‘Sony Surprise’ on the 15th of July.

  1. You never know. Kevin Butler could appear on this “surprise” and do the Can-can.:p

Seriously, they are just hit baiting. I would be annoyed if i watched it and it turned out to be something i already and most of the gaming media know.
