New $20 Million PSN Commitment To Exclusives

The PlayStation Network Store has long been a place to find some exclusive little gems. The diversity of the titles available is already impressive and a continually growing catalogue only makes the service stronger.

One place where the PSN Store has always had some strong offerings is in its exclusive range of titles. Everything from Super Stardust HD to Joe Danger via titles like Flower and the PixelJunk series. So it’s perhaps unsurprising to see that the PSN is reaffirming its commitment to funding great exclusive titles with a further $20 million investment over the next three years.

This investment should pave the way for further solid additions to the catalogue, including the upcoming Eufloria, Okabo and Papo & Yo which will all be making their appearances on the PSN Store soon.

  1. How ’bout a South Park game? Or perhaps the Family Guy MMO?

    • Or, y’know, some good games.

      • LOL. Spot on!

      • Yes, that would be to prefer, don’t worry I was just fooling around. :-) Can’t belive there actually is a Family Guy MMO in the making, if I ever heard of a fail to come, that would probably be it.

  2. Great news :-)

  3. An exclusive GTA remakes box set please for $20 million. job done!

  4. I look forward to what’s to come… Another game from Hello Games perhaps? More from Housemarque and That Game Company would be most welcome. Maybe we’ll see something exclusive from Popcap? Personally I think Sony should make sure the next game from Double Fine comes to ps3.

  5. Dead Nation 2? i really enjoyed the first even though i got [insert inappropriate word here] by the zombies in the graveyard

  6. Has anyone ever decided to buy a console because of a PSN or XBLA exclusive? #misdirectedfunds (is this twitter? I seem to be “misdirected”)

  7. A lot of my game time is spent playing psn games, even though I have many big budget triple a games yet to start.

Theres a tremendous feeling of nostalgia with a lot of the games, and as a father with precious little time to myself I find myself drawn to the less grandiose nature of psn games.

I just cant motivate myself to start a big budget triple a game knowing that I will lose track of where I am in it when I dont get round to playing it for a week or so.
