EVO 2011 Live Stream – Day 1

The world’s biggest fighting game tournament of the year has begun! Thousands of players from all over the world are competing to make a name for themselves and prove that they’re the best. This is one spectacle you don’t want to miss out on.

The entire broadcast is being streamed by iPlayWinner X Team Sp00ky and you can watch it here. There are actually two streams going on at once since there are so many tournaments going on at the same time. Stream 1 hosts Super Street Fighter IV and Marvel vs Capcom 3, while Stream 2 is dedicated to Mortal Kombat, BlazBlue: CS, and Tekken 6. All matches feature amazing commentary by some of the most knowledgeable players around.

EVO 2011 is also available in PlayStation Home (US only). It’s a great idea but it has some problems. The framerate is choppy and sometimes the video just turns into a big mess. It’s completely unwatchable until you leave the theater. There’s also no way to change to the second stream. When you arrive in the theater you’ll receive a different bonus item each day.
