Easily one of the quirkiest downloadable titles we’ve seen scheduled for 2012, Monolith’s Gotham City Impostors will be showing at this year’s Gamescom event. Scrapping the traditional class-based multiplayer shooter template, Impostors will allow players to mix and match a variety of unique gameplay abilities, Warner Bros. currently allowing gamers to sign up for an exclusive closed beta.
The newest trailer doesn’t reveal anything new, though does a good job in showcasing the impressive level of character customization that will be available. Expect to see plenty more GCI action next week.

“scheduled for 2012” awww I was hoping it would be sooner than that! :( (Like there aren’t a million games already coming out soon that I want!)

i’m not a big fan of games that associate themselves with another property just for the name recognition when the game has nothing to do with that property.
it could be a good game, hell it could be a great game, but it’s not a batman game.
but let’s give the devs the benefit of the doubt, maybe they were making the game and warner told them to shoehorn the batman license in.
Smallville2106
Yeah I agree. When I first heard about this I was quite excited thinking it was another Batman game. Basically from the looks of it it could be set anywhere.
I’m not that interested in it at the moment.

Hmm, that looks like it could be really difficult to differentiate the multitude of brightly coloured characters. I’ll give this one a miss.

This is not a Batman game. It is a game that is trying to to use Batman as a way of selling it. :( It looks fun but i don’t think i will be getting it due to reason above. Plus Gotham is a city with a dark atmosphere. This is the opposite of that.:(
