Zen Studios is bringing Zen Pinball to the Nintendo 3DS. The game is expected to launch this fall as a downloadable title for the Nintendo eShop. A specific date and price has not been announced yet.
Zen Pinball 3D will feature local hot seat multiplayer, online leaderboards, table rankings, multiple view points, and rewards for completing missions. The following four tables are included in the download: Earth Defense, Eldorado, Shaman, and Excalibur.

I belive the nature of this game suits being handheld better than home console.

Interesting, i was going to say it’s the sort of game that you have to get into the ‘zone’ for and thus probably not best suited for handheld gaming. Also i presume they’ve made the loading times much quicker on the 3DS than on PS3.

You have a point with the whole “zone”-thing. I was thinking that it being handheld would make it easier to pick up and play just for a quick go on the go. But since the pros (who would also be part of the target-audience since it’s such a niche-genre) probably make each game last for a long time, that could work against it. And the PS3 version does look better and probably plays better (I’m thinking in terms of physics engine, the cell must be better equipped than whatever the 3DS have) so now I’m not so sure it will even sell well, but there’s always a market.

This is great news although I'd rather hope this includes the DLC from the PS3 version.. Maybe starting with four again is a bit disappointing?

Well it says 4 so i guess it excludes the DLCs.
Hopefully they will release a psv version with transfers from the ps3 version. Like capcom are doing with ultimate marvel vs capcom.
