Have you bought all the old Call of Duty DLC?  No?  Well, you’re in for a treat, as the legacy stuff’s all on sale.  There’s some fresh stuff, though – the new Castlevania, Real Steel and Sideway: New York, along with absolutely loads of DLC, as usual.

  1. Is COD Classic worth picking up?

    • It feels very dated.

      • I imagine it being like MOH: Frontline. Fun but it looks terrible…

      • really?! Then I wouldn’t go about picking classic up Gaz. I forgot 2002 was when Medal Of Honor was the best FPS and Call of Duty was the new series on the scene really.

      • lol I also tried playing ot on veteran for trophies but it just done me in lol should give it another crack on easy really.

    • Sure, but it’s nothing like COD4 or newer ones. It’s a classic PC FPS, so the AI are rather insane ;) – Plays a little like Counter Strike in some ways.

    • It’s between Classic and COD4 for my favourite Call of Duty- I don’t particularly like the others (haven’t played COD2 though.)
      The gameplay is good, and is better than Frontline. The graphics are probably slightly better too.
      I got the game free with MW2’s hardened edition, and COD Classic has seen so much more gametime than MW2 and probably COD4 as well.
      It’s at a good price, go for it!

  4. It’s just the Castlvania trial for me if it is not restricted to PS+ers if it is then naff for me this week. :-/ And where in the blue hell is Chrono Trigger? Come on SCEE get off yer butts and deliever some classic PS1 games. And by classic, i mean the memorable ones not scooby goes dancing extreme edition with a bit of MS paint. ;)

    Seems a bit early to have a COD sale as i would have thought the begining of November would have been ideal.

    • perfect time for a sale! Why would they have a cod sale a week before mw3 when everyone is counting their pennies.

      • Yup – Any later & it won’t sell as people will be looking to pick up MW3.

        Right now, they are probably getting practice in on WAW/MW2/Black Ops, so i think that it’s probably perfectly timed.

      • It’s called marketing Steven, drums up more interest and milks the COD Cow for another squeeze

  7. I was hoping there would be some GT5 DLC, maybe next week.

    • PayDay The Heist is meant to be out today but not on the list, i guess its being delayed?

      • Yeah, they announced the delay a week or two ago.
        I can’t remember the new date though.
        GT DLC is due 18th/19th October, so we’ll see it next week.
        Then again, it is Gran Turismo, so I’m expecting a few delays… :P

  9. Nothing major this week. Would have probably bought RE5 Gold for 11.99 (using PS+ discount) if I hadn’t bought a cheap copy last week for 8quid. May treat myself to a Tomb Raider avatar but otherwise I’m keeping my cash aside for Rage this weekend (and maybe Onlive if the trial impresses me)

    • I was looking at getting it last week but was saving for Infamous Festival of Blood. At 20% off i may have to give the trail a go to see if i like it.
