Rockstar games has officially announced that Max Payne 3 will be making its multiplayer debut tomorrow via IGN.
The blog post is fairly light on details, but assures fans that the fluid gunplay previously featured will make a direct transition into MP3’s online component.

I really hate Multiplayer being added as a sequel to the most amazing singleplayer. Dead Space and Assassin’s Creed took a risk. GTAIV I just can’t see myself enjoying MP and now Max Payne (-_-)
Seems to me that all games (I mean ALL) will include multiplayer/co-op!
I’d stick to the campaign and I fear Max Payne Multiplayer will lag so badly and the server will cause problems when joining matchmaking….

I personally think a large part of it is that it makes it easier for companies to shoe-horn those ever wonderful online-passes into a game with a multiplayer component (no matter how tacked on and shite)
