Ok, those who aren’t familiar with the Rhythm Heaven games will look at this trailer for the new Wii version and probably pull a confused scrunch face (a la Renée Zellweger).
The Rhythm Heaven games make you perform in mini-games, timing actions with the beat of the background music. Rather than actions we are used to, such as waving hands in the air, it’ll be something slightly more bizarre such as timing button presses to mimic a giant stone head that barks like a dog (!!).
Rhythm Heaven Fever will be out for the Wii on February 13th in the US, and spring for the EU.

Wario Ware meets TapTap Revolution? Probably a little too weird, even for my taste.

I wonder though. If it really doesn’t use motion gestures, why bother bringing it out on the Wii? The formula was perfectly suited to the DS. Still looks great though but I wonder how well it’ll do over here in the UK.

Reminds me of the cool online game Pixel Pop by Nitrome which is based on the same concept. Not using the Wiis motion controls seems like a stupidly wasted opportunity though.
