Blizzard has announced that the Diablo III beta will be shutdown on May 1st to prepare for the game’s launch, which is on May 15th.
When the shutdown occurs all player’s beta accounts and characters will be reset, but the forum and comments sections will be open to anyone who has pre-ordered  Diablo III or have a current World or Warcraft or Starcraft II account linked to their battle.net account.

Alas, I never did get into the beta. All I have to do now is wait another month…just one more month…
