Bethesda have just announced that Dishonored, Arkane’s “supernatural assassin action game” will be released on October 9th in the States and on the 11th and 12th in Australia and Europe respectively.
“We are pleased that Dishonored has captured people’s attention,” said Vlatko Andonov, president of Bethesda Softworks. “We are looking forward to sharing lots more information about the game leading up to its launch in October, and having a hands-on build of Dishonored in our booth at E3!”

I can see this doing a Deus Ex & not being anything like I expected it to be, as the descriptions are delightfully vague.
I just hope you don’t have to sneak around, unless it’s one bit of one level. That I can just about put up with!

I’m pretty sure they said that you can sneak or do a frontal assault in every mission.
