If you were wondering when the next pre-E3 game reveal was going to be, wonder no longer – it’s Harry Potter Kinect, which was just announced.

The game, in development at Eurocom, will feature sequences from all the movies and will push all of Kinect’s abilities, including the option to scan your own visage into the game.

And, of course, wave your arms and shout a lot.

“Harry Potter for Kinect will engage Harry Potter fans old and new by bringing them into the wizarding world as truly active participants,” said Samantha Ryan, Senior Vice President of Production and Development at Warner Interactive.

It’s clearly a game for younger players, though. “Kids and parents will enjoy recreating their favourite Harry Potter adventures, from flying a broomstick in a Quidditch match, to battling pixies and duelling other wizards.”

There’s no Move version planned.

actually though, i can see this doing well.
and it actually looks like something that would work well as a kinect game.

it can’t be any worse than that star wars game can it?

  5. “Graphically looks ok, still should be on Mooo-OMFG what is that?! Is that human?!”

  6. Wonder if it will go down the Gears of Potter:Hogwarts edition route but more linear?

I suspect certain TSAers will be using their own wands to play it and i really hope Peter bans the staff from doing a video review of them using their “wand”. ;)

Suspect it will be average at best.

    • I don’t think its compatible with small wands…

    • you have a dirty mind Steven, that’s probably why you do so well here. ^_^

  7. I think it might be good but the only problem is Kinect it self, never tried so I can never have a idea what its like but the movement is just worrying.

Will be good fun for families.

  8. Can’t be any worse than the Kinect features in the Deathly Hallows game…
