There’s a checklist of things that games should have in order to really click with me. I’m not going to list them, suffice to say that this indie game called Snapshot pretty much gets a full house.
I mean – look at it. Smart central mechanic, gorgeous art style, cool music. I adore games that try to do things a little bit differently and although there are elements of Braid and Scribblenauts here this looks fresh and exciting.
It’s out soon for PS3 and PS Vita, via the PSN Store.
Here’s how it looked back at the beginning of 2009, for comparison:

Looks pretty interesting. Not heard of this before but if the price is reasonable I may well pick this up.
Gamoc
Oh, now that looks pretty damn good.
Tuffcub
Looks odd. I like odd.

Yes, and unlike Retro City Rampage, it has retro styling without looking all pixellated and shitty.
Ooops, I went there. Too soon? ;)
Sympozium
SO racist to 8-bit. :(

That was neat, reminded me of Quantum Conundrum too!

Vita does have some nice stuff coming.
KeRaSh
Cool! I’ll definitely pick this up for the Vita.
Tuffcub
You have no idea how much I laughed when “Retro effect” popped up on screen.
Megamoppy
Looks pretty awesome but is it bad that I prefer the look of the old game rather than the vita version? It kinda looks like yoshi’s island.
Jakster123x
Wow. That’s the most unique platformer i’ve seen in a while.
JoshHood
Really like that you can use momentum of objects.
