PSN Store Update: 13/06/12

The big news in Store Update Land this week is the next big game for the PS Vita. Gravity Rush hits the digital distribution streams and if you forgot to pre-order but still want that lovely DLC, SCEE has you covered. You’ll still get the Military Missions DLC for free if you buy from the PlayStation Network Store before next Tuesday, the 19th.

Gravity Rush isn’t the only thing to get excited about though, the Vita sale we mentioned earlier in the week begins today and runs until the 4th of July but the contents of the sale will be rotated each week. Those discounts aren’t limited to Vita, either. There are some nice little discounts on PlayStation 3 games to tempt you.

The next Vita game in the new AR Play range launches today too, hot on the heels of those tabletop tanks. PulzAR is a kind of 3D, AR puzzle game where you can place objects and move around to get a truly immersive look around the arenas. It’s cheaper than most Minis can manage and comes with trophies, which is nice. Table Football has some DLC too, if you can’t get enough of Vita AR.

  1. PulzAR and a couple of the Vita offers for me this week :)

  2. Gravity Rush’s size is totally 1337. :D

Shame about the shenanigans with pricing that SCEE are pulling… AGAIN!

    • They have changed the £ price on the blog and it’s actually £29.99.

      • Well I’m glad it was just a typo, but good God they need to get this sort of thing fixed! Feels to me like every week has some form of nonsense going on with pricing, typo or not.

      • That’s pretty decent as RRP is £40 so it’s 25% off :) and same or less than even retail is selling it for.

  3. 34.99 Euro is a great price for Gravity Rush, especially with the free DLC!

Did Sony finally get the message?

  4. I think I’ll just pick up PulzAR and wait for Gravity Rush to arrive tomorrow.

  5. Nothing and im glad for it after last weeks hard drive destruction.

  6. Seems like the storage on my HDD is safe for another week.

  7. I’ll certainly try Babel Rising demo as the review sounded good. I tried the Gravity Rush demo and the gameplay didn’t appeal to me so i’m still waiting for something new for my Vita.

    • Also i don’t think i’ll be buying any more AR games – at least not until they bring out some SmartAR games, the cards are fine when they work but usually they’re a pain.

  8. I think the biggest news here is that I managed to make the fancy slide out category thing work and I haven’t broken anything.

    • Good work – I’m settling into the new-look site now ;)

    • lucky you then eh ;-)

  9. Clearly the Escape Plan dlc for 21 pence is the best deal, since it has 7 new modes, 18 levels, adds Costumes, and 4 trophies (x3 silvers and x1 gold). Also, we got it just as cheap as the US for once – was worried when I saw the US get it for 25 cents that we’d get screwed over.

Gravity Rush has already been despatched for me, plus I’d rather save space as my 16gb card is filling up fast!

Shame there is still no sign of The Walking Dead ep2, although I think it was scheduled for “late” June. Got excited last week when PS+ told me an update had been downloaded.

Tempted by Alien Breed but since it’s coming out on disc, I’d rather save the 4gb HDD space.

    • …and I’m actually tempted by Bang Bang Racing, despite the name! :/

    • Shocker, the Sniper Elite V2 dlc isn’t available in Germany! Bought a code from eBay for £2.50 so saved myself over £6! Result.

      • Yeah, I just spat coffee when I saw that price for the Sniper DLC. Jeez it’s only a level add on for a retail disc, not a full blown PSN game…….frightful!!
You did well to get that on E-Bay mate ;)

      • Yeah, shockingly expensive – perhaps trying to claw back profits from a fairly cheap game (dropped below £35/£30 pretty quickly after release)!

Always good to get DLC early on eBay, when preorder DLC is plentiful! ;)

  10. …who voted Two Worlds II Game of the Year? :S

    • i don’t think anyone did?

a lot of games now are releasing GOTY editions; uncharted 2, dead island, batman arkham city…and they all can’t be lol.

it’s just an excuse to sell the game with all the DLC. not that i’m complaining because it works out cheaper, but it kinda makes me reluctant to but games as soon as they come out…

      • Tbh Uncharted 2 and Arkham City are awesome games but its the lesser games like Dead Island and Two Worlds 2 that leaves you scratching your balls thinking, “how the f***?”

      • Dead Island was actually a really good game, but i wouldn’t say it was exactly ‘critically acclaimed’ – They only have themselves to blame for that though, after advertising what is essentially a first person hack & slash zombie game as a highly emotive narrative driven tale, which it was never going to be.

I would prefer if they stopped throwing the therm of GoTY around entirely though – What’s wrong with ‘Uncharted 2 – Ultimate Edition’ for example?

      • I agree with you Forest and the point is “critically acclaimed.” I haven’t touched Dead Island so I can’t comment nor Arkham City but I have played Uncharted 2 and it is deserving of the therm/title etc. It was like when Borderlands got a GOTY edition. Granted its not bad but there were many flaws and because it had good DLC it got bundled as GOTY. An ultimate or complete edition would have sufficed much more fittingly.
