BioWare is bringing back the Ultima brand with Ultima Forever, a free to play, cross platform title to be published by EA, who are accepting beta sign-ups if you have an Origin account.
There’s not a lot of details currently public beyond the fact that it’s free to play and cross platform, but the game is on EA’s stand at Comic-Con, so impressions will hopefully start to spill out soon enough once people get their hands on it.

I don’t quite understand what this entails. It sounds like one of BioWare’s studios is making a cross-platform action RPG based on the original Ultima.

So they are not content with killing Ultima, they want to bring up the ashes of what is left of it and milk it’s dead body dry. Also, why do i get the feeling Bioware will be forced to work on Ultima Forever only for the next decade?
Actually are there any Ultima fans left as i’m pretty sure every fan left Ultima after Ultima 8 and 9 due to how crap they were.

And yes i know it’s free to play but i suspect EA will implent pay to win and have a ton of day-90 DLC for it.
