LittleBigPlanet Currently The Highest Rated Vita Game On Metacritic

LittleBigPlanet is the highest rated PS Vita game on Metacritic, with an average score of 89% from (at the time of writing) 18 critics. The scores range from hugely impressive 9.5s right down to still solid 8.0s from, er, us and Videogamer.

PSU called the game “compelling” and “imaginative” and said it’s the “best LittleBigPlanet yet” and Edge said that the Vita’s screen”is a chance to see Media Molecule’s staggering achievement afresh”.

The game’s out next week in Europe, and there’ll be a playable demo too.

  1. LBP should come pre-installed on all Sony consoles and the community levels be available to download from the main console menus. It’s like LBP has become its own platform. There’s a constant stream of content which is all free and the variety is amazing.

LBP could be the App Store the Vita needs. I’ve even seen an amazing version of Angry Birds built in LBP2 (which arguably looks better)

  2. Can’t wait to pick it up!

  3. It’s a real shame that a blockbuster game has been released for the vita but its not for me. Hopefully though it’ll help sell more vitas and then we can start to see some blockbusters come along that are for me. Will it help shift consoles?
