Housemarque Working On A “Spiritual Successor To Super Stardust HD”

An article in this month’s Edge magazine [via] about Finnish developers Housemarque highlights that the studio is working on a spiritual successor to Super Stardust HD which the magazine says they’ve “already sampled” and is “fast” and “busy”.

Super Stardust HD was a great update of the Amiga originals for the PlayStation 3 early on in its life (with PSP and PS Vita versions too), but the team have also recently put out Dead Nation, Outland, Furmins and coded the Angry Birds Trilogy.

Super Stardust HD was the first game to get Trophies.

CEO Ilari Kuittinen confirmed to TheSixthAxis that they are indeed working on a new game (in fact they’re currently working on three unannounced projects) but wouldn’t comment further and didn’t offer any more details on platforms or dates.
