Community Round-Up: 11/05/13

Good luck to everyone heading into their exam period, as Gazza is. That’s why I’m filling in once more this week, but I know that there area a lot of you out there who are coming up to their final hand in deadlines or sat exams in the next few weeks.

Just a solitary, rather lonely meet has been created for this week, which is Gran Turismo 5 on Monday night. No doubt it will be abuzz with people chatting away about what they want from GT6. Actually it’ll be nothing like that, but it will be fun.

Aside from that, there’s nothing but the prospect of a Bad Company 1 meet being posted during the week. So, if you need people to play with, you should really create your own meet, assuming you’ve got 250 TSA points.

In the review pool this week Dom El puts himself through Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates To Infinity. It’s safe to say that he didn’t get on with it too well, I’m afraid. Jim’s having a better time of it with his ongoing review of the Defiance, though. Then there’s DanToo, who took a look at Slender: The Arrival in this week’s Indie Focus.

Al took a good look at what the DualShock 4 is going to be able to do, this week, alongside his thoughts on how the share button on said controller needs to work, so as to fulfil its goal. He also gave us a preview of the wonderful looking Remember Me. Then yesterday I took a look at next week’s new Krieg character release for Borderlands 2.

Aran gave us his thoughts on Army of Two: Devil’s Cartel and why we need dumb games as well as his continuing Matter of Perspective series, with Nate Drake’s murdering spree at the core.

Last week’s Community Chronicle featured Taylor Made’s customised gaming set up, whilst the WeView series saw the verdict delivered on The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, before turning its attentions over to Dante’s Inferno.

We wrap up as usual with the latest TSA podcast, next week being the 100th edition, and What We Played #104.

The forums have had plenty going on this week, in both old and new threads.

That, I’m afraid, is all you’re getting today. Gazza may or may not return next week, depending on how cocksure he is, heading into his remaining exams. See you then!

  1. Exams have hit me hard too. Hate this time of year.

    • Amen! Just coming up to my first ever round of Uni exams. Stressful to say the least!

    • Third year Microbiology student here.

Oh God, just make it stop.

      3 of 10 done and I can’t take it… :(

  2. I have 85% exam upcoming which will be fun (or perhaps not). Its on logic, so I’m up for all that stuff. Its the essay deadlines that really get me working all hours of the day, and the 50% exam which is different because its just more essay writing in two hours with a ton of knowledge to revise. ugh. I’ll be glad when its all finished, then back to Soul Sacrifice, Virtue’s last reward and starting the recent XCOM game and as always, watching ludicrous amounts of films.

  3. Bunimomike’s friend certainly was a delightful princess that knows how to coin a considerate and tactful phrase….she’ll go far! :P

    • She’s like an anti-Frankie Boyle. :-)

      • I think it’d be weird to have Frankie Boyle as an auntie :p

      • @Broon Nah…..Bob’s your uncle, Fanny’s your aunt, apart from a few English counties where they might be peers. :P

  4. Blimey, all this talk of exams is making me feel REALLY old! I haven’t had to consider that type of stress fror a long time now. I had to take a test for an interview earlier & that made me sweat, so good luck to those that are taking their exams for school, college or university. Remember theres no pressure… Just your whole life might depend on it. ;)

Oh & just to help make the section look a little less bare, i have added a couple of meets today.
