First Sniper Elite 3 Trailer Released

Sniper Elite 3 has just received its first official trailer from developers Rebellion, put up on their Youtube channel featuring a chase through a desert and an exploding jeep.

The third installment of the Sniper Elite series will be set during the North African campaigns of World War 2, following the story of American OSS Agent Karl Fairburne. According to the trailer description Sniper Elite 3 will have a much bigger focus on sandbox style gameplay, though we’ll have to wait for more information on that.

Sniper Elite 3 will be a cross generation title releasing on the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC in 2014.

  1. That’s one fast jeep.

    • The one in GT5 barely made 30mph !

  2. V2 was a lovely surprise, I thought it was a brilliant game once I adjusted to the pace. However, this trailer looks a bit pony if I’m honest, but then it is just a trailer. Hopefully some next gen gameplay will look good!

    • Have to agree mate, this trailer makes the new game look like a step back from V2. They seem to have put a lot into the jeep engine detail but externally the game has a PS2 look about it…..still time to get the brown sausage polish to work it’s magic though. :o

  3. Haha! Who the hell came up with that? The vehicle is travelling like a firework strapped to a Scalextric track. What sort of speed is that? *chuckles* Also, the vehicle flip from a bullet to the engine at the back. Uh-huh.

Still. I thoroughly enjoyed V2 with Teflon/Stefan L, so let’s see what the game is actually like soon please. :-0

  4. WWII PS4 game? I’m interested…

  5. Cant help but feel that this should have moved to a modern setting. Ill pass.

  6. Looks good. I’ll be interested to hearing more about the story, maybe you’ll link up with the SAS or LRDG.

  7. Pointless trailer, but nice that there’s a new one coming soon. I enjoyed V2 a lot, although I found it a bit too linear in places, so good to hear they are working on that aspect.
