At their Brasil Game Show presentation, Sony demonstrated Remote Play. While they’ve shown the built-in functionality before, they showed how developers could take this a bit further, with Knack’s Wii U-esque second screen co-operative play.

It’s really good stuff, although the PS4 and PS Vita combination is quite a bit more expensive than the Wii U with GamePad included. Still, if you own both then it’ll be great to see what developers can do with Remote Play.
Remote Play will support all games, aside from those which require the use of the PS4 camera, as it’s at a system level rather than having to be coded by developers, as the case was with the PS3.

Looks ace.
I still haven’t got around the fact that I will be able to play Killzone Shadow Fall etc on my Vita. I really hope it doesn’t suffer from lag.

I don’t think it’ll lag when connected to the PS4 locally. Possibly it will from public hotspots though

I hope you’re right. There was lag when using remote play on Vita sadly. Not always, but enough to kill me when playing Ico :(

Didn’t realise you could use Vita for co-op play, another good reason to own both.

Whoop! Me and girlfriend already love that game. Cant wait for PS4 now. My 2 tastes of the console have left me more hungry to play it :D

I’m not sure if I want to buy knack my self as I feel it be on Ps+ soon. But I feel I want to honor Mr Cerny for his good ambassador role his played so far. It does look like it wool be fun in couch co-op mode though. Argh. I don’t know till a few days before release if I’ll get it.

Remote play is yet another thing they have been continually promising, yet not delivering on. I still don’t believe it. There will be lag, and not every game will be compatible, even though they have said the opposite. Remember how we were meant to have this already with the PSP? They were talking about a Rear view mirror for Gran Tourism, 7 years ago. All we ended up with was a useless way to turn on our Playstation3 remotely and play “some” videos, or look at photo’s, then we would loos connection, leaving the PS3 on, chugging away to YLOD itself!

Same here, I still don’t believe that every game is going to support it despite the fact that they keep saying that’s what they aim for. Better not to get my hopes up yet.
