Here’s a lovely looking game, which I’ve shamefully not been able to get around to writing about since I saw it, Teslagrad is a game which follows a young boy in a Metroidvania style adventure, centred around Nikola Tesla-inspired electric and magnetic powers.
There’s some lovely ideas with puzzles, as you gain new abilities to allow you to give objects a magnetic polarity, blink (teleport) past obects and more, in a steam-punk inspired world which doesn’t half get a bit dangerous for the little kid. Intriguingly, the game plays with a speechless and silent form of storytelling.
The team at Rain Games have been several platform, with PC set for release next Friday, 13th December for £6.99 on Steam, where it went through the Greenlight process. PS3 and Wii U versions of the game will have to wait until early next year, and if you ask me, they should be aiming to get this on the Vita as soon as possible!
We’ll hope to have a review for you around that point.

As I said, just computers, PS3 and Wii U for now, but hopefully it’ll make the jump.

Would be nice on the Vita. Seems like fun though so I might get it on Wii U if the price is reasonable.

Nice hand-drawn art style and the magnetism puzzling looks interesting too. I might wait and see if there will be a version for PS4.

that definitely looks like a companion cube on the video’s thumbnail, and i see a bit of Portal in the gameplay as well.
