Podcast: Episode 127 – Assassin’s Creed IV, OlliOlli and inFamous: Second Son

This week we were very nearly one member short of traditional quartet, as Lewis had to unfortunately miss the recording due to illness. Fortunately Teflon was available to step into the breach at the very last minute, and regale us with stories of inFamous: Second Son, a game that sounds like it’s shaping up to be rather fantastic.

Teflon’s also been playing a bit of OlliOlli, a title that Peter’s also spent a little time kick-flipping his way through. On top of that, Peter’s taken to the seas again in Assassin’s Creed IV, still finding Kenway’s ascension from pirate to assassin rather odd. Then there’s Kev, who’s been playing the frankly ludicrous sounding Lollipop 3: Eggs of Doom. Even though I’ve confirmed that the game isn’t just a fragment of Kev’s over-stimulated imagination, it still doesn’t seem like it should exist based on what Kev said about it.

As for me, I’ve been and watched Scorsese’s latest offering, The Wolf of Wall Street. While it was not, unfortunately, the Michael Dorn centric film we were hoping for, it’s still an interesting film, so listen in if you’d like to know what I thought of it.

Then, as always, there’s the quiz and listener questions. As Lewis was away, Peter managed to fill the quiz shaped void with a rapid fire set of questions in, as he puts it, “the Gaston style”.

If that wasn’t enough for you, there’s a bonus treat if you listen all the way to the end.

  1. It may be a bit out there, but would it be possible for the podcast to be on Stitcher please? I have no idea how time consuming that may be and no worries if not! I’ll still listen regardless!

    • We’ve had that request before actually, I’ll look into it :)

      • Thank you!

      • Yeah I’ve been bombarding Kris for ages to put it on there, shows how much he cares about the listeners! If I was you I would listen to a better podcast, I hear there’s a pretty good one called Robot Punch Gaming.

  2. you have to remember about WOW, the numbers keep going down.
they lost like a couple of million subscribers last year.
they still have like 8 or 9 million, but that’s down from 11 million.

i’d say the days of the subscription MMO are waning.

wasn’t it, The Last of us that started as a Jak and Daxter reboot?

anyway, i’d love to see Naughty Dog bring back Keef the Thief. ^_^

  3. Another good one guys, well done ^^
Thanks for the hints about the Wall Street film, I don’t like such cinema. Guess I will skip this one. Ow and Peter: games should be sold in boxes for eternity. I cannot imagine a world without games in boxes. Hope it will not happen while I’m still alive.
